On the morning of Saturday, October 21, Gbi Viwo woke up to the death news of one of their most adored friends, a mother and sister: Mrs. Grace Adulai, whom they affectionately called Mama Grace.

Mama Grace was the wife of another cherished member of our community, Apostle Ernest Adulai of the Revival Assemblies of God Church (Hohoe), who is right here among us at Gbi Viwo.

Mrs. Adulai has been described by many who knew her as a mother to all, an exemplary friend and embodiment of love. The biological mother of five, who was the same age as her husband, would have turned 60 in November 2017.

With their birthdays only four days apart, a big 60th anniversary was in the plan, scheduled for November 19 – the date of her birth. Invitations and posters were already in circulation as preparation toward the day progressed. But the beloved wife and mother, who had jokingly said just a few days before her death that she would be out of town on the day of the anniversary, bowed out of this earth 29 days early.

Those she has mentored are countless. Those who remember her come from all backgrounds. They are Christians, they are Muslims and they are traditionalists. They are shocked and saddened by her sudden departure, but one thing is also true: they are cheering her on as she crosses over to the other end.

Our heartfelt condolences go to Apostle Adulai and Mama Grace’s entire family. Our thoughts and prayers are with the church - the Hohoe congregation especially. May she rest in everlasting peace.
